Annual Picnic
Gilbert Run Park
Sunday, 18 May 2014
On a beautiful Sunday, from 11 AM to 5 PM, 100 knights, their families and parishioners from Sacred heart Church, enjoyed fellowship, good food, soft drinks, games, fishing and paddle boating. The pavilion was an ideal location, for this event, as you can see from the photos. The temperature was in the low 70's with a soft, soothing breeze.

On behalf of the Archbishop Neale Council #2279, I'd like to thank the many Knights, their wives and families, and Sacred Heart parishioners for their participation.

I'd also like to congratulate brother Charles Arcadipane as the Archbishop Neale Council 2013 EMT of the Year. He was given a beautiful plaque for his 43 years of selfless service to the EMS community.

Thanks to those who contributed in so may ways: brother John Brucculeiri for coordinating the event; PGK Peter Czupryna for providing the paper products, cups, and utensils; the "grillmaster," brother Joe Bowling, for his handiwork with the hotdogs and hamburgers; District Deputy #12, Brad Howard for organizing games and providing prizes for the children; brother Glenn Taylor for his usual and customary due diligence, especially with unloading and loading all of the vehicles; brothers Al Ribeiro and Joe Scatina for the corn hole games; and brother Gerry Brosco for capturing much of the excitement so it could be posted on the council's website.
